The United States Mission to Somalia joins the people of Somalia in a message of peace and hope during this most blessed time of Eid. The month of Ramadan has been a time for families, communities, and friends to share the happiness of coming together in intense devotion, reflection, and service. Millions of Somalis all over the world have been inspired to honor their faith by reaching out to those less fortunate. This year, millions of Somalis inside and outside Somalia have observed the month while courageously persevering in their efforts to secure basic necessities and fundamental freedoms, as well as peace and prosperity for future generations. The United States will continue to stand with them and for the dignity and rights of all people across the world.
As Ramadan comes to an end, we send our best wishes for a blessed holiday to Somali community in Somalia and around the world. Eid Mubarak!
