Kenya Resumes Flights to and from Somalia

Location: Somalia
Event: Kenya’s Civil Aviation Authority has permitted the resumption of non-military flights departing for and arriving from Somalia.
The Department of State has issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory for Somalia and advises U.S. citizens not to travel to Somalia due to COVID-19, crime, terrorism, civil unrest, health issues, kidnapping, and piracy.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 4 Travel Health Notice for Somalia due to COVID-19.
The U.S. government has extremely limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Somalia due to the lack of a permanent consular presence in Somalia.
